Johannes Hahn, the EU’s Special Envoy for Cyprus, articulated the Union's position in recent interviews, highlighting the profound significance of the Cyprus issue for the bloc as a whole. "The situation in Cyprus is a very important issue for the European Union as a whole," Hahn stated, "both for the effective implementation of its policies and the promotion of its values, as well as for stability and security in the Eastern Mediterranean."
