The Cyprus National Guard is implementing a significant policy change, allowing contract soldiers, known as "Syop," to serve until the age of 57. Under the new regulations, current contract soldiers will have their tenure guaranteed until they reach 57 years old. Beyond extending service length, the reform includes multifaceted professional development and remuneration enhancements.
