A delegation of prominent Cypriot legislators, including Haris Georgiades, chairman of the House foreign affairs committee, participated in extensive discussions. They engaged with Volodymyr Mykolaienko, the former mayor of Kherson, and Dmytro Khilyuk, a journalist who had endured prolonged detention. A Ukrainian delegation, led by Yulia Pavliuk from Ukraine’s prisoner of war centre, also attended the crucial meeting. This encounter, occurring four years after Russia's full-scale invasion, powerfully underscored the immense human cost of the conflict.
