Current laws for foreign buyers are old. They have weaknesses. This means many property deals can happen easily. Lawmakers are looking at these old laws. They want to add stronger rules. Akel leader Stefanos Stefanou said many foreigners are interested in properties near important places. These include airports, army camps, and the coast.

Data shows where foreigners are buying property. From January to October 2025, some areas had high prices. The Akamas region in Paphos has luxury homes. The average price is over €646,000. Paphos Municipality and Geroskipou also had expensive sales.
