British Celebrities Ask UK to Help Gaza

Famous British artists and people are asking the UK government for help. They want the government to make sure Israel allows important maternity supplies into Gaza. They also want aid groups to have full access to Gaza. This is to help women and girls. Conditions in Gaza are very bad. Winter is here, and there is not enough aid. This has caused people to die from cold. Their shelters have also fallen down.

The situation for people in Gaza is much worse now. Many people are suffering because of the long conflict. Reports show more people are dying from the cold winter and lack of supplies. A baby only one year old died from the cold. A baby seven days old and a girl four years old also died. The Gaza Health Ministry said over 440 people have died from Israeli military actions since October 10. Fighting has continued in southern Gaza.

Actors like Juliet Stevenson are leading this effort. Judi Dench, Meera Syal, and Sienna Miller are also involved. Justine Roberts, who started Mumsnet, is also helping. They have been campaigning for two years. They have held rallies and written letters. They also want to use Mumsnet, a website with many users, to influence the government. Stevenson said they want mothers in Britain to speak for mothers in Gaza.

Stevenson said life for mothers in Gaza is very difficult. The war has caused them great sadness. They have no enough supplies and no good shelter from winter storms. A family lost three people when a wall fell on their tent. Five others were hurt. Another woman died when a wall fell on her home. The Gaza Health Ministry said seven people have died from the cold. UNICEF said 100 children under 18 have died since a pause in fighting. Most died from military actions.

The crisis in Gaza is very serious. Over two million people are in Gaza. They are all cold and facing storms with little aid. Fighting continues and makes the situation worse. The world must act to help the people in Gaza. They need protection and essential medical supplies.
