Jeep Catches Fire at Car Dealership

A parked Jeep suddenly caught fire in Engomi on Monday. The fire happened outside a local car shop. Emergency services arrived very quickly. The fire started around 6:40 pm. It caused a lot of damage to the front of the Jeep. The police are now investigating the fire.

Someone saw smoke coming from the Jeep. Employees from the nearby car shop tried to stop the fire. They used fire extinguishers they had. Their quick action helped, but they could not put out the fire completely. The fire brigade arrived soon after.

Two fire engines came to the scene. Firefighters worked hard to control the fire. They stopped it from spreading to other cars or the shop. Police officers then secured the area. The Nicosia Criminal Investigation Department was told to start looking into why the fire began.

The owner of the Jeep is 32 years old. He told the police the car had problems recently. This information is important for the investigation. Investigators think a mechanical or electrical problem likely caused the fire. There is no sign that someone started the fire on purpose. They are trying to find out what part of the car failed.

The front of the Jeep was badly burned. The damage is being checked. The car might need many repairs. It could also be a total loss. The police have blocked off the area. They are guarding the car to keep any evidence safe.

The Nicosia CID will examine the Jeep's systems. They might ask car experts for help. They want to find the exact reason for the fire. This will help the owner and make cars safer. The fire is out, but it shows that car problems can be dangerous. Authorities want to understand everything that happened.
