Eurostar trains had many problems on Tuesday. Many services were cancelled. This made holiday travel difficult for many people. A big power problem happened in the Channel Tunnel. This stopped all trains for a long time. Thousands of travelers were stuck. Their holiday plans were ruined. It caused a lot of worry.

The problem started with the electricity supply. It failed inside the tunnel. A Eurotunnel Le Shuttle train stopped. This train carried cars and people. This made the situation worse. Eurostar, the train company, cancelled all trains from London. These trains go to Paris, Amsterdam, and Brussels.

The reason for the problem was bad overhead cables. These cables are important for power. They needed urgent repairs. The power failure stopped both Eurostar passenger trains. It also stopped Eurotunnel Le Shuttle. These trains carry cars between Folkestone and Calais.

Le Shuttle services started again slowly. They used only one track after 3 PM. However, Eurostar's full schedule was not sure. Passengers had long waits. More cancellations could happen. By the afternoon, Eurostar started some trains again. They were very late. The problems were expected to continue all day. This made holiday celebrations sad for many.
