Cyprus has reached an important goal in tourism. It welcomed more German tourists than ever before. This is the first time in nearly 30 years. This shows great growth in visitors and money for the country. The Deputy Minister of Tourism, Costas Koumis, thinks 2025 could be a very special year.

Germany has the biggest tourism market in the world. German people are very interested in Cyprus. This year, 12% more Germans visited Cyprus than last year. Over three years, tourist numbers from Germany grew by 40%. This success brings more money to Cyprus's tourism industry.

Better flights between Germany and Cyprus have helped a lot. More flights and bigger planes make it easier to visit. Cyprus was ranked first for better air connections in 2025. It was also second for improvements from 2019 to 2025. Good air travel is important for visitors.

The Deputy Minister said Germany is a very important market. He said special plans helped bring more tourists. The goal is to share tourism benefits across the island. This helps visitors see more than just the usual places.

These good changes help in many ways. More visitors mean more money for the economy. Cyprus earned more money from tourism than other Mediterranean countries. Visitors also stayed longer in Cyprus this year. The increase in German tourists means a strong future for Cyprus tourism.
