Underwater Christmas Tree in Cyprus

An unusual Christmas tree has been placed underwater near Protaras, Cyprus. This combines holiday traditions with the island's warm weather. The Paralimni–Deryneia municipality and SCUBA Dive Cyprus organised the project. It shows Cyprus's strong link to the sea and its warm climate. The tree reminds people that summer continues here, even in winter elsewhere.

This idea makes part of the sea floor a festive place. The tree underwater looks very interesting. It shows Cyprus's always summery feeling. The project mixes Christmas symbols with the coast. SCUBA Dive Cyprus led this creative idea. Local government fully supported it.

Scuba divers carefully placed the tree in the water. One diver wore a Santa Claus costume. This made the underwater scene more fun. Santa blew bubble rings, a happy Christmas greeting underwater.

The underwater tree highlights Cyprus's special location. The island has warm weather activities all year. By placing a winter symbol in a summer place, they want to attract visitors. Protaras is a great place for sea activities anytime.

The tree also shows the area's connection to the sea. Coastal towns often depend on the sea. This tree honours that important link. It presents this in a new way for locals and visitors. The Christmas tree, usually for cold weather, looks surprising with sea life and blue water. This event promotes the area's lasting appeal.
