Violence and Accidents Disturb Limassol

Limassol had a worrying night with several serious events. Violent incidents and accidents happened across the city. Many people were injured. The police are investigating these events. The city is seeing more crime. People are concerned about safety.

A serious attack happened on Wednesday evening. It was around 7:00 PM in the Anexartisias shopping area. Police are trying to understand what happened. A 36-year-old man was badly hurt outside a cafe. Reports say three men attacked him. Two used stun devices. One man stabbed the victim in the shoulder. Police want to arrest a 30-year-old man. He owns a barbershop. They are still looking for the other attackers.

Another bad incident happened on Sunday afternoon. A drunk driver injured a pedestrian. It was around 3:00 PM on Misiaouli and Kavazoglou Street. A 49-year-old man was driving drunk. He hit a 47-year-old pedestrian. The driver had too much alcohol. His level was 93 mg%, much higher than the legal limit. The injured pedestrian has broken ribs. Police arrested the driver.

Also, a young child was hit by a scooter rider. This happened on Saturday evening. It was around 7:30 PM on Poseidonos Avenue. A scooter rider hit a two-year-old girl. The girl had minor injuries. She went to the hospital to be safe. However, the scooter rider did not stop. Police want to find this person. These events are making people worried about safety.
