Cyprus Prepares for Christmas Celebrations

Cyprus is ready for the Christmas season. The country has many events and festivals planned. These events will mix old traditions with new fun. There will be modern shows, village parties, and movie showings. Cyprus will offer many holiday activities for everyone.

A big event is the Nicosia International Festival 2025. It will show a new version of "The Nutcracker and I." This show is on December 28th at the Nicosia Municipal Theatre. It is more than just ballet. Pianist Alexandra Dariescu, dancer Désirée Ballantyne, and animators will perform. The 60-minute show mixes live action with animation. It wants to connect classical music with young people. The goal is to create hope and strength.

In the countryside, the Statos-Agios Fotios Christmas Village is a popular place. This village in Paphos will be like a winter wonderland. It will be open until early January. Visitors can buy local crafts and taste mulled wine. There will be activities for children, live music, and nice decorations. It is open on weekends and holidays.

Limassol's Rialto Theatre will show André Rieu’s 2025 Christmas Concert. It is called "Merry Christmas." On December 19th, people can watch the famous violinist and his orchestra. The show will have special guests and many musicians. It is a three-hour show for holiday fun.

Lidl Cyprus is also having a free event. It is called "Lidl Christmas Days." It is at the Lidl Food Academy in Nicosia. This event is on December 20th-21st. People can try Lidl's special food products. There will be activities for children, games, and music. These events show that Cyprus will have a great Christmas.
