US Eases Chip Rules for China, Oracle Stock Falls

The United States is changing its export rules. This will help China's artificial intelligence (AI) development. Wall Street's AI sector feels uncertain. The Trump administration will let Nvidia sell its H200 AI chips to China. This is a change from older trade limits. At the same time, Oracle's stock dropped more than 10%. This happened because their sales were lower than expected. These events make people talk about a possible AI bubble.

Nvidia can now export its best chips. The H200 chip is made for training complex AI models. Chinese companies could not use these powerful chips before. They used less advanced ones. Nigel Green, CEO of deVere Group, said this is important globally. He explained that the decision changes how fast AI can grow. It affects investors everywhere. Chinese companies might catch up to Western ones.

Oracle's recent money report was a wake-up call. For the last quarter, they made $16.06 billion. Analysts thought they would make $16.21 billion. Their sales grew 14% from last year. This news caused investors to sell their shares. Oracle's stock had gone up a lot before. This was because of their AI plans. Their cloud business grew well, with sales up 68%.

Oracle's report shows the AI market can be unstable. They made a big deal with OpenAI in September. This deal is worth $300 billion. It was expected to help their stock price. However, the lower sales caused worry. People think expectations are too high. Oracle's stock value has fallen 40% since September. It is still up for the year.

Oracle's leaders say they will adapt. Larry Ellison, Chairman and CTO, said they will buy chips from anyone. They need to meet customer needs. He said AI technology will change a lot. They must be flexible.

These events show the AI industry is complex. The new export rules will boost AI growth. They will also increase competition. Oracle's stock drop suggests investors want real profits. This might mean more checks on companies. The future of AI depends on technology. It also depends on policy, market feelings, and good business.
