Cyprus Sees Big Rise in Foreign Property Buyers

This year, Cyprus has had a lot of foreign money coming into its property market. Most of these buyers are from outside the European Union. In the first ten months of 2025, non-residents bought 3,469 properties. This shows that Cyprus is still a popular place for international investment.

Cyprus attracts investors because of its good location, nice weather, and good roads and buildings. The market has been strong, even when other economies have had problems. Experts say people like the good life in Cyprus. The laws are fair because Cyprus is in the EU. There are also good programs to help investors move here. The property market is a good place to keep money and enjoy life.

The Land Registry showed that Paphos and Limassol are the most popular areas. Many people want to buy property near the sea. Paphos has attracted the most buyers from EU and non-EU countries. Most of the buyers, 1,846, were from outside the EU. This means they are buying more properties in most areas.

In Nicosia, the capital city, and Famagusta, buyers from other EU countries bought more properties. This is different from other areas. EU buyers might want to be in Nicosia for business or government work. Coastal areas attract many people who want holiday homes or to live there. Many buyers want a good lifestyle and enjoy tourism.

This foreign investment helps the economy. It brings money to building companies and banks. It also creates jobs. However, it can make housing more expensive for local people. Cyprus is now reaching buyers from the Middle East and Asia. This helps the economy. Foreign demand, especially for coastal homes, will likely continue.
