A recent drone attack hit a kindergarten in Sudan. This sad event caused many civilian deaths, mostly young children. The attack happened last Thursday in Kalogi. Medical sources say at least fifty people died. Thirty-three of them were confirmed to be children.

This is one of the worst attacks on children since the war began in April 2023. The Sudan Doctors' Network reported the school was hit by two missiles. Civilians and medics went to help. However, they were also targeted. This made rescue efforts difficult and increased the tragedy.

The two sides in the war are blaming each other. The Sudanese army said the paramilitary RSF did the attack. The RSF denied this. Instead, the RSF accused the army of another drone attack. This happened the next day on a market and a fuel depot.

This terrible event is part of the big fight between two former friends. They are fighting for power. Their war has caused great chaos. Millions of people are now homeless. Civilian places like hospitals and schools are often attacked.

UNICEF said killing children at school is a bad violation of their rights. They asked everyone to stop the fighting. They want safe ways for aid to reach people. The attack has led to more requests for peace.
