Weekend of Big News: Sports, Music, and Sad Farewell

This past weekend had many exciting events for people around the world. There were amazing sports, a big music comeback, and sad news from the movie world. In Poland, athletes competed in the World Athletics Indoor Championships. In South Korea, the famous music group BTS had their first concert together again. Sadly, actor Nicholas Brendon also passed away. He was well known for his role in "Buffy the Vampire Slayer."

In the pole vault competition in Poland, Mondo Duplantis from Sweden won the gold medal. He jumped 6.25 meters high. This was very impressive and he is still undefeated. Emmanouil Karalis from Greece won the silver medal. He jumped 6.05 meters. Curtis Marshall from Australia took the bronze medal. Many people watched and enjoyed the athletes' skills.

Meanwhile, in Seoul, South Korea, the group BTS performed their first concert since last October. Many fans came to see them. The concert was in a beautiful place near a palace. This was a special return for BTS after their military service. About 104,000 fans came to the area. This concert is the start of their new world tour. It is an important cultural event for South Korea. BTS also released a new album called "Arirang."

However, the weekend also brought sad news. Actor Nicholas Brendon died at age 54. He was famous for playing Xander Harris in "Buffy the Vampire Slayer." He died peacefully. His friends and co-stars shared many kind messages online. They remembered his important work on the show. His death reminds us that life is short, even during exciting times.
