Middle East Conflict Grows

The Middle East is seeing more fighting. Iran's actions are causing attacks on other countries. Saudi Arabia stopped four missiles heading to Riyadh on Wednesday. This shows the fighting is getting worse.

The United Kingdom will send more help to its friends in the Gulf. They want to build stronger defences against Iran. This instability comes as U.S. intelligence believes Iran's power is weaker. However, its government is still in place.

Fighting has spread. Israel is sending more soldiers to its border with Lebanon. Hezbollah fired rockets. Israel is now attacking Hezbollah's bases. Many people in southern Lebanon have left their homes. Villages have also been destroyed.

This fighting affects global oil prices and stock markets. The United States is spending billions of dollars on this conflict. This is a big cost for taxpayers.

U.S. intelligence chief Tulsi Gabbard said Iran's government is still there. However, a recent operation weakened its military. She called it "Operation Epic Fury."

But Joe Kent, a former counterterrorism official, disagrees. He said, "I cannot support the war in Iran." He believes Iran was not a threat to the U.S. He thinks the war started because of pressure from Israel.

The United Kingdom is increasing its help. They ordered more missiles for their forces and allies. British soldiers are helping to stop Iranian drones. A warship is also in the eastern Mediterranean. This shows the UK's commitment to peace.

Many countries are meeting to talk about the problems. Representatives from Azerbaijan, Egypt, Jordan, and others are attending. Ambassadors and defence officials from Saudi Arabia, the UAE, and other nations are there. They want to work together to stop Iran's threats. The fighting is still causing problems for millions of people.
