Cyprus Keeps Good Credit Rating

A big company called Morningstar DBRS has given Cyprus a good rating. They said Cyprus is strong financially. This means they trust the country's money. The rating is 'A', and it is stable. This is good news for Cyprus.

The country's economy grew well in 2025. The Gross Domestic Product (GDP) went up by 3.8%. This happened because people in Cyprus spent more money. Also, selling services to other countries helped. The economy is doing well.

However, banks in Cyprus made less profit in 2025. This was mainly because they earned less from loans. But the banks are still strong. Their total money grew to €69.9 billion. Their capital ratios also got better.

The Central Bank of Cyprus is being careful. They kept money set aside to help banks if needed. This shows they want to keep the financial system safe. They are also ready for problems.

Cyprus has good finances and can handle difficult times. Geopolitical problems in the Middle East could be a risk. However, Cyprus is strong enough to manage these issues. The government debt is also at a good level.

Bank of Cyprus also made a new investment. They bought a part of a company called Wealthyhood. This company has an app for investing money. This will help Wealthyhood grow. ERB Cyprialife is also a leader in insurance.
