US and Iran Conflict Shakes Middle East

A big fight between the US and Iran has started. It is called "Operation Epic Fury." This fighting has been happening for over two weeks. It is making the Middle East unsafe. It also affects world oil prices.

The US started with big plans to change Iran's government. Then, they focused on stopping Iran's nuclear weapons. Iran answered by closing the Strait of Hormuz. This is a very important sea route for oil. This action has shocked the world's economy.

The fighting began after US and Israeli air strikes. Reports say these strikes killed Iran's leaders. This has made Iran's government confused. It is not clear who will lead next. US President Donald Trump is leading the US actions.

Iran closed the Strait of Hormuz. This route is used for a lot of the world's oil. Because of this, oil prices went up a lot. They are now over $100 per barrel. This is bad for economies around the world.

The US asked its friends to help protect the Strait. President Trump said on social media, "We will get the Hormuz Strait OPEN, SAFE, and FREE!" However, many countries said no. Germany, Spain, and Italy will not send ships.

Germany's Defence Minister said, "This is not our war." Britain and Denmark might help. However, they want the fighting to stop. This is different from what the US wants. The US is worried about NATO allies not helping.

The US also delayed a visit to China. This shows that priorities are changing. "Operation Epic Fury" could change the Middle East. It could also change how countries work together.
