Iran's Military Not Stronger Than Thought, Says US General

The top US military leader, General Dan Caine, said Iran's military is not stronger than before. This comes as the US military prepares for many attacks on Iran. For one week, ships cannot pass through the Strait of Hormuz. This is very important for oil.

Iran is accused of placing mines in the strait. This makes it impossible for oil and gas ships to go through. The US is attacking Iranian ships that are part of these actions. General Caine said Iran is fighting. However, he does not think they are stronger than the US thought. He said, "I respect that, but I don’t think they’re more formidable than what we thought."

The Strait of Hormuz is closed. This affects the world's oil supply. Oil companies have stopped pumping oil. Storage areas are full. The US might escort ships through the waters.

President Donald Trump warned Iran. He said the conflict will get worse if Iran keeps blocking oil. The US wants to keep sea routes open. They will use more military force if needed.

Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth said the war will not last forever. He said President Trump will decide when it ends. The US military has been very busy. They have attacked over 5,000 targets. The US wants to ensure ships can travel freely again.
