Eighty-two people are now safe in Cyprus. They came back from Saudi Arabia on Tuesday. This group included Cypriot citizens and people from other EU countries. The flight landed at Larnaca Airport. It was a successful operation by the government.
This flight is part of a bigger plan. The Cyprus government wants to help its citizens abroad. Many people were stuck because of problems in the region. They were in Bahrain, Kuwait, and Qatar. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the National Crisis Management Centre worked together.
The National Crisis Management Centre planned everything carefully. They worked with Cyprus embassies in Qatar, Bahrain, and Saudi Arabia. Saudi Arabian authorities also helped a lot. Their cooperation was very important. This happened during a time of conflict in the Middle East.
This is not the only flight. More than 500 people have already returned from Dubai. The Cyprus government is working hard for its citizens. They will continue to help people who are still in the region. The government wants to make sure everyone is safe. This shows Cyprus cares about its people.
