Six Arrested in Cyprus Burglary, Some Are Murderers

Police in Larnaca, Cyprus, arrested six men recently. They are suspected of a big burglary. The crime happened at the home of a rich land developer and his wife. This happened early in the morning on February 19th. The event has made people in the area feel worried. Four of the arrested men are already in prison for murder. This makes police think about organised crime.

The intruders broke into the couple's house. They scared the people inside, including two workers. The burglars used garden shears as a weapon. They took many valuable things. These included phones, jewellery, watches, and a lot of money. The developer's wife had to show them where the safe was. They took everything from it. The stolen items are worth about €188,000.

Larnaca police worked very fast. They arrested the six men, who are between 27 and 43 years old. The most surprising thing is that four of them are serving life sentences for murder. This suggests a strong criminal group is working together. They can plan and do dangerous crimes. This shows they are willing to be violent.

A stolen watch helped the police a lot. This watch was found for sale online. Police followed this clue to a shop in Lebanon. The shop owner said people from Cyprus told him to sell the watch. This shows the crime was international.

The burglars entered the house through a back door. Five suspects escaped in a stolen car. This car was found later. Security cameras helped police identify one suspect. This led to more arrests. The sixth man was arrested on Sunday. One 31-year-old man will stay in custody for five days. Police are trying to find out more about the criminal group. They want to know what each man did.
