Major Plan Launched for Gaza

A big international plan has started to help Gaza. This plan will help with the crisis there. It also aims to bring peace to the region. The United States is leading this effort. A new group called the Board of Peace met on Thursday. They announced over $7 billion for Gaza's needs. This money is for relief and rebuilding.

Five countries will send soldiers. They will join a new International Stabilization Force. This force will help bring security to Gaza. Indonesia, Morocco, Kazakhstan, Kosovo, and Albania are sending troops. Egypt and Jordan will train local police officers. This will help make the area safer inside.

The conflict started after attacks on Israel on October 7, 2023. The health ministry in Gaza says over 72,000 people have died. The damage to buildings and roads is very big. The Board of Peace will help manage the international help.

There are also talks about a ceasefire plan. The US is helping with these discussions. This plan includes making Hamas give up its weapons. This is a difficult point for some. Israel's Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Gaza needs to be disarmed. He said this before Gaza can be rebuilt.

The Board of Peace has money and soldiers. However, some people worry it is too big. President Trump said the US will work with the United Nations. This shows they want to work together. The Indonesian foreign minister also met with UN leaders.

The International Stabilization Force will be led by General Jasper Jeffers. This is a big step for the plan. Leaders from Indonesia, Kazakhstan, and Morocco support this effort. However, some countries like the UK and France are not on the Board of Peace. This means not everyone agrees. The plan needs to help with security and aid. It also needs to find a lasting peace for Gaza.
