The Prime Minister of Greece, Kyriakos Mitsotakis, met with the President of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdogan. They talked about how Greece and Turkey can improve their relationship. They also discussed important matters in the Aegean Sea. The Cyprus problem was a big part of their meeting. Prime Minister Mitsotakis said the UN has new ideas. He thinks these ideas can help start talks again. President Erdogan is hopeful. He knows it is hard, but he believes solutions are possible.

The UN Secretary-General, António Guterres, also met with a leader from the Turkish Cypriot community. This meeting happened in New York. Many people think this is a new chance for Cyprus to become one country. The UN is working to find ways to talk. A special envoy from the UN recently met with US officials.
