Violent Home Invasion Over Housing Dispute

A serious housing problem became a violent attack in Limassol, Cyprus. A 39-year-old man was hurt badly. He has a broken skull and ribs. Police arrested a 29-year-old man. About €3,000 in cash was stolen from the home.

The problem started on Thursday evening. The landlord of a shared house came with masked people. They went to the tenants' home. Witnesses said the landlord had threatened the tenants before. He wanted them to leave the house quickly. This led to a violent fight. One tenant was seriously injured.

The injured man went to a hospital in Limassol. He is getting treatment for his bad injuries. His housemates, aged 41 and 23, were also there. They were not hurt. When they came back after the attackers left, they saw the money was gone.

Police worked hard to find the people involved. They arrested a 29-year-old man on Friday. He will face charges for hurting someone, making threats, and theft. Police did not say if the arrested man is the landlord. However, the landlord's role in the violence is important for the investigation.
