Influencer Refuses to Return to Cyprus

Social media influencer Annie Alexui will not go back to Cyprus. She says she needs official requests from trusted Russian officials. Alexui claims she has political asylum in Russia. She said this in a recent TV interview. Her statements make investigations more difficult. They also suggest links between Cypriot criminals and the Mayor of Paphos, Phedon Phedonos.

Alexui has been online for years. She says she feels safe in Russia. She trusts Russian authorities to protect her. This comes after claims that people from the Cypriot underworld are looking for her. Because of this, she will not talk to Cypriot police by phone.

She said all future contact must be in Russia. Russian contacts and police must be present. This is different from last month. Then, an arrest warrant was announced. Alexui had shared her phone number then. She now regrets this decision.

Alexui also spoke about Mayor Phedon Phedonos. She said her claims that he is a rapist are true. She has specific information about incidents. She also said she knows people in Cyprus prisons.

She admitted to recording conversations. These were with people involved in crime. However, she denied having personal relationships with them. She does not trust the Cypriot justice system. Therefore, she will stay in Russia. She does not believe she will get a fair trial there.

Alexui's current actions seem planned. She is using her situation and the arrest warrant. She implied that the police are only looking for her for show. She thinks they already know where she is.

She explained her reason is personal. She will continue her online work. She said this will happen "until the day my mother is dead." This suggests a long personal struggle. She also said she might stop talking publicly. This would happen if the "real culprits" in a murder case are caught.

Alexui's move and her statements are important. Cypriot media and police are paying attention. Her claim of Russian asylum and her accusations are causing discussion. People are talking about crime, information, and different countries' laws. Cypriot police are looking for her. Her trust in Russia shows complex international issues. This situation will likely be watched closely.
