Gaza Conflict Worsens Humanitarian Crisis

Recent Israeli military actions have made the situation in Gaza much worse. The territory's health system is close to failing. Medical evacuations have also stopped. This conflict, which has lasted for years, strongly affects the people living there. Children and families who have lost their homes are suffering the most.

Israeli officials said they attacked people who shot at them first. An officer was hurt. Hamas said this was not true. They accused Israel of making up the reason for more attacks. This fighting started again after a short period of peace. This shows how difficult it is to stop the violence.

Humanitarian groups report many people have died. On Wednesday, 21 Palestinians were killed in Gaza. Some of the dead were children and a paramedic. Al-Shifa hospital received 13 bodies, five were children. Nasser hospital reported four deaths, including one child. In another area, two children and a paramedic died. Attacks in eastern neighborhoods killed at least 14 people. These attacks hit civilian areas.

Gaza's health system is in a very bad state. A spokesperson said Israel has destroyed it. There are not enough medical supplies or medicines. The health system cannot cope with the number of injured people.

Also, medical evacuations through Rafah crossing have stopped. This means very sick people cannot get treatment elsewhere. A health expert said the world is not paying attention anymore. People’s basic needs are not being met.
