New Legal Leaders Appointed in Cyprus

Cyprus has new leaders for its justice system. George Savvides is the new Attorney General. Savvas Angelides is now the Deputy Attorney General. These appointments happened earlier than planned. President Nicos Anastasiades wants to improve the legal system. This happened after the former Attorney General, Costas Clerides, resigned.

The change in leadership happened quickly. The new officials were sworn in sooner than expected. The government wants to make people trust the legal system more.
