Top Chinese Military Leaders Investigated

China's Communist Party is investigating two important leaders in the People's Liberation Army (PLA). Zhang Youxia and Liu Zhenli are suspected of breaking rules and laws. This is a big change for the PLA's top officers. The military is already changing a lot.

These investigations happened quickly. This leaves the military's main group, the CMC, with very few leaders. Zhang Youxia and Liu Zhenli are now not working. Only Chairman Xi Jinping and General Zhang Shengmin are left in the CMC. Many other former CMC members have been removed. This shows Xi Jinping is trying to control the military and have loyal people.

There are no official details yet. However, a newspaper mentioned serious problems. It said the people broke trust. They also caused political and corruption issues. This hurt the Party's control over the military. Many believe this means they were corrupt or not loyal.

Some experts think Zhang Youxia might have shared secret information about nuclear weapons with the US. He is also accused of taking money for special favours. This might be connected to the former defence minister, Li Shangfu. Li Shangfu was removed last year.

These removals are the biggest in the PLA since Mao Zedong. Experts say the PLA is in chaos. There is a lot of worry about the rumours. This lack of leaders could affect the PLA's ability to fight. It also raises questions about China's military plans, especially for Taiwan. This is happening while the world watches China's military. These actions show Xi Jinping is taking more power. The military's stability is important for everyone to watch.
