Big Rocket Moves to Launch Pad for Moon Mission

A very big rocket has moved to its launch pad. It is for the Artemis II mission. This mission will send four astronauts to the Moon. It is the first time people will go near the Moon in over 50 years.

The rocket is 98 meters tall. It moved slowly on a special vehicle. The journey took many hours. It traveled about 6.5 kilometers. The rocket arrived at Launch Pad 39B. This showed how big space missions are.

Artemis II will last for ten days. It will help prepare for landing on the Moon and going to Mars. The astronauts will travel farther from Earth than anyone before. They will test the Orion spacecraft's systems. This will help them gather important information.

Now the rocket is at the launch site. NASA will do final checks. They will practice fueling the rocket. This is called a "wet dress rehearsal." It is important to make sure everything works together.

The mission could launch on February 6th. However, there are other possible launch dates. These are in February, March, and April. NASA expects the mission to start in a few weeks. People are very excited about it.

Artemis II is a very important mission. It will be a return to sending people to the Moon. The last time was in 1972. Canada is also part of this mission. The world is ready for a new time in space exploration.
