Car Dealership Fire Suspected Arson

Police in Paphos believe a large fire at a car dealership was set on purpose. The fire started early Saturday morning. It caused a lot of damage to the business. The fire brigade worked hard to stop the flames. Now, police are investigating the scene.

Police official Michalis Nikolaou said the fire seems to have been started intentionally. He explained that their first checks suggest the fire was malicious. The fire brigade arrived quickly. This helped prevent worse damage. However, Nikolaou said serious damage had already occurred.

The full amount of damage is still being counted. Reports show many vehicles were destroyed. Eight cars, eleven motorcycles, and three electric golf buggies burned completely. A jet ski was also destroyed. The building and other items at the dealership were badly damaged too.
