A bus with the Cyprus handball team had an accident. It happened early Saturday. The bus went off the road. It turned over near Neanurme.
Help came fast. Most of the team was okay. But two people went to the hospital. Eight others got medical checks.
The team was going to a game. They played Estonia for the European Championship. Bad weather was likely the reason. The road was wet and hard to see.
Emergency teams helped everyone. All 23 people on the bus were checked. The two in the hospital are at Tartu University Hospital.
A new bus took the team to Põlva. The Cyprus embassy is helping them. They will give support.
The Cyprus Handball Federation said no one is in danger. They are happy it was not worse. The bus overturned with much force.
