Larnaca Taxis Strike Next Week

Larnaca taxi drivers will stop working. This will happen for four hours on Tuesday. The strike is from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m. The taxi union Poat organized this.

Drivers are unhappy with the Ministry of Transport. They say their jobs are in danger. They have talked to officials many times. But they found no good answers.

Ride-hailing apps are a problem. Drivers think this is unfair. These apps hurt their businesses. They want fair rules for everyone.

If the strike does not help, more will come. A 24-hour strike is planned. Then, they might stop working for many days. The union wants the government to listen.

This strike will cause problems. Travellers may not find taxis. Longer strikes will stop transport in Larnaca. This shows a fight between old and new ways to travel.
