Army Takes Control in South Lebanon

The Lebanese army now has control of south Lebanon. This area was once run by Hezbollah. The government wants to take away weapons from groups not in the army. This is after a peace deal. The first step is now done. Israel and the United States watch closely. They want to see if weapons will be removed.

Hezbollah was in charge south of the Litani River. This is near Israel. The Lebanese army is showing strength. The government wants to be in charge. This helps with worries about armed groups. The plan is to remove weapons and fighters. People have different thoughts about this plan.
