A South African politician, Duduzile Zuma-Sambudla, has suddenly left her job. She is the daughter of a former president. She resigned after people said she helped 17 South African men go to Ukraine to fight with Russian soldiers.
Her political party, MK, said she left to focus on bringing the men home from the war. The party leader said she did not admit she was guilty. The police are now investigating.
The problem started when her sister reported her to the police. The sister said the men were tricked. They thought they were going for job training, but they were sent to a war zone instead. Eight of the men are from their own family.
Zuma-Sambudla says she was also tricked by another person. She says she believed the training was real. She is very shocked by the situation.
Families of the men are very worried. One man's brother said the politician only resigned to protect her father's reputation. The police are looking into the case for human trafficking and fraud. The families are waiting for their loved ones to come home.
