Airbus A320 planes around the world have a big problem. They need new software right away. This affects about 6,000 planes. Because of this, many flights are cancelled or delayed. This is happening during a very busy travel time.
The problem started after an incident with a JetBlue plane in October. Experts found that strong sun radiation can affect the plane's computers. These computers are very important because they control parts of the wings. Safety officials said all airlines must fix this problem before flying these planes.
Fixing the planes is different for new and old ones. Newer planes need a software update. This takes about three hours per plane. But about 900 older planes need new computers. This is a bigger job and will take more time.
This problem is causing big delays, especially in Asia. Airlines in India and Taiwan are working hard to fix their planes. Airbus says it is sorry for the trouble and is working to fix the problem quickly. People are now waiting to see how long it will take for all the planes to fly again.
