Get ready for great sky sights in 2026. Many wonderful things will happen in the sky. We will see sun eclipses and moon events. We will also see fast meteor showers. This year is special for star watchers.
The year starts with a supermoon on January 3rd. A supermoon looks bigger. Next, a "Blood Moon" is on March 3rd. The moon will look red. In May, we will see a "blue moon." It is the second full moon in one month. These moon sights can be seen everywhere.
A big event is a total sun eclipse on November 24th. Spain is the best place to watch. The moon will cover the sun. This is rare for Spain. People in North America and Europe will see part of it.
There is also a sun eclipse on February 17th. The Perseid meteor shower is on August 12th and 13th. We will see many shooting stars. A moon eclipse is on August 28th. Cyprus will see this one. Two more supermoons are in November and December.
