Germany is worried. German leaders may punish Hungary. They could take away Hungary's rights in the EU. They might also stop EU money for Hungary. Germany thinks this is important. Hungary's actions hurt EU plans. They also make the EU look weak.
Hungary also has other problems. Hungary and Poland are not sure about using the euro. Hungary's laws say the forint is its money. Poland also has less interest in the euro. High prices are a reason.
