Cyprus Shops Disagree About Black Friday

In Cyprus, shops had different opinions about Black Friday. Big shopping centers said it was a success. For example, the Mall of Cyprus reported more shoppers and good discounts. A manager said people bought more because the discounts were high, sometimes 60% off.

However, a group for small shopkeepers, called Povek, disagreed. They said Black Friday is not working well in Cyprus. They explained that in other countries, discounts are much bigger. In Cyprus, many discounts were only 20-30% off. This made some shoppers unhappy.

Also, many shops save their newest products for Christmas sales. This means the best items are often not available on Black Friday.

Because of this, consumer groups warned people to be careful. They advised shoppers to check prices and understand return policies before buying. The story of Black Friday in Cyprus shows that people have very different experiences.
