Cyprus works with Poland and Denmark. This helps make EU rules the same. Cyprus will lead meetings. They will work on new defence rules. Cyprus will have about 260 events. They want to make Europe safer. They also want Europe to do better in business. They want everyone to be friends.
Europe has big problems. The war in Ukraine is one. Defence work together is very important now. This focus on safety will help countries work together.
Cyprus has a problem with Turkey. Cyprus and Greece do not want Turkey in some EU defence plans. This is because of Turkey's soldiers in north Cyprus. This problem might make defence stronger harder.
President Christodoulides is happy. He said it is a big job. He wants to help Europe work together. Cyprus wants to be friends with Turkey.
They want Turkey to join a NATO plan. This could help Turkey join NATO later. This might help Cyprus agree with EU and Turkey working together. Cyprus is ready for this job. They feel sure they can do it.
