Khaleda Zia Dies at 80

Khaleda Zia, a former Prime Minister, has died. She was 80 years old. Her party, the BNP, told everyone on Tuesday. Doctors said she was very sick. She was on life support.

Khaleda Zia was a big leader for a long time. She became Prime Minister in 1991. This was important for women. Her husband died in 1981. Then, she led the BNP party. She helped the party in the first vote for democracy.

She made good changes when she was Prime Minister. She wanted more girls to go to school. She also helped people in the country. Her government made the country more democratic.

She went to London for medicine. But she was too sick. Doctors said they could not help more. This was because of her age and other problems.

Her death is before the country's vote. The politics are already hard. Her death will change the vote. It will also change politics later. She was a strong leader. She changed Bangladesh and helped women. Many people went to the hospital.
