Workers who have worked for more than six months will earn €1,088. Before, they earned €1,000. New workers will earn €979. This is a good change for them. The government wants people to buy more things. They also want fewer people to be poor.
The government looked at how the economy is doing. The economy grew well. The government thinks this wage change is good.
But, some worker groups are not happy. They wanted more money for workers. They think the new wage is not high enough. They want workers to have enough money to live.
Some business owners are also not happy. They think the new wage is too high. They worry small businesses will have problems. This could make things cost more.
