New Rules May Stop Help for People

New rules in Israel could stop important help for people. This help is for Gaza and the West Bank. The rules began in March. They may stop life-saving help for many. Aid groups worry they cannot finish new steps.

The problem is a new way to sign up aid groups. Groups that do not sign up might close. This makes aid workers worried. A team called the Humanitarian Country Team shared fears. This team has UN groups and many others. They say the rules are not clear. They also say the rules are too political.

About 100 aid groups have asked to sign up. But it is slow. Some applications were refused. Only a few were accepted. Many are still waiting. This slow work makes people fear help will stop.

If help stops, it will be bad. Aid groups run hospitals. They also give homes and food. If these groups leave, more people will suffer.

Israel's government says help will still come. But aid groups think many services will stop. The rules are hard to follow. The next months are important.
