Cyprus Approves Big Money Plan for Next Year

The House of Representatives said yes to the Cyprus money plan for 2026. This plan is for a lot of money. It is €10.7 billion. It starts on January 1st next year. Many people voted for it. Some people voted against it.

Some politicians said things cost more now. They said this is hard for families in Cyprus. The government said the money plan will help with computers. It will also help people who need support. This will help the country with money problems. But some people think the plan does not help families buy things. They think it tries to save too much money.

The Finance Minister, Makis Keravnos, liked the plan. He said it is good for the country. But other parties did not agree. They worry about families with less money. Their money does not buy as much now.

Money was also given to the school places. They talked about having more students. They also talked about good school lessons. Some people thought the school plan was weak. They wanted better school buildings.

The money for the Audit Office was also talked about. One person said a new rule hurt public money. The state might have lost money.

The 2026 money plan is important for Cyprus. It shows different money ideas. More money will go to help people and growth. This is to help the economy and people. But people still worry about costs. The government must help families with daily money.
