Study: Hot Weather Hurts Cyprus Money

A new study from Cyprus says bad things will happen to money. The Economics Research Centre (ERC) found that hot weather will hurt Cyprus. The study shows big drops in money for the country. This means a bad future for money.

The study used a special way to look at things. It connects gases to hot weather. This affects how much people can make. It also affects how well businesses do. The study looked at three ways to stop the gases.

In the worst case, Cyprus could lose money. By 2050, it could lose €29 billion. By 2100, it could lose €162 billion. Even in a good way, the money will still be lost. The economy will lose money. Hot weather hurts making things and buying things.

Important money parts are in danger. Tourism, which brings much money, could lose money. Banks could also lose money. Farming will also be changed by the weather.

The study also says Cyprus will have money problems. Less tourism means less money for the country. This makes money problems worse. The ERC wants Cyprus to act now. It must help its money future.
