Cyprus Leaders Meet to Talk Again

Leaders from Cyprus will meet this Thursday. The United Nations is helping them. Tufan Erhürman will be there. Nikos Christodoulides will also go. The UN's special person will join too. This meeting is after they visited a lab. They want to start talks again.

Talks happened for many years. But they did not help much. The European Union is helping. President Christodoulides will talk to the EU first. The EU wants to help the talks move. This is because there was not much trust.

The leaders will try to make talks good. The Greek Cypriot side is hopeful. But Erhürman said not to expect much. He said this on social media. There are big problems with power and land. These stopped a solution.

Mayors also talked. Mehmet Harmancı met Johannes Hahn. They talked about working together. Harmancı asked the EU for more help. He thinks this will help talks.

We will see what happens soon. President Christodoulides will meet party leaders Friday. They will talk about the meeting. People will watch for new steps. A big success is not here yet. But leaders talking is good. The UN and EU are helping. The island needs real agreement.
