Bad weather and several accidents caused big problems on roads across Cyprus this morning. The worst accident was on the main road between Limassol and Nicosia. Three cars crashed, so one lane of the road is closed. This caused very long traffic jams.
Heavy rain is making driving dangerous. Police say drivers must be very careful. They tell people to drive slower, leave more space between cars, and use their headlights.
In another accident, a car turned over on a road near Kumyalı. The driver had minor injuries and went to the hospital. Police are still learning why it happened.
Because of the accident on the Limassol-Nicosia road, drivers can expect long delays. Police advise people to find a different route if possible. They remind everyone that the wet weather makes driving very difficult and to be extra careful.
