Storm Byron caused big trouble in Cyprus. The weather was very bad. The weather service gave a warning for Sunday. This was because of hard rain and big storms. The storm began on Friday night. It brought strong winds and much rain. Some people saw tornadoes.

The storm made many problems. Fun events were stopped. Buildings were broken. Power lines were also hurt. This showed the storm was very strong. A weather system over the sea made storms bigger. The storms came from the west first. Then they went east.

The storms brought hard rain and ice. They also brought strong winds. Sea tornadoes were seen near Paphos. The highest mountains might get snow. In one town, winds knocked down trees. One tree fell on houses. Another tree hit power lines. This made a fire and no electricity. Power came back in two hours. A tornado also hit a power place. It broke buildings there.

People are fixing the broken things. The storm stopped normal life. Christmas events in Limassol were cancelled. This was to keep everyone safe. The weather is still not good. The warning says more hard rain is coming. Some places will get much rain. People must be careful. They should not travel. They must listen to the news. Storm Byron is still on the island.
