Italy Voters Say No to Big Plan

Italian voters did not like a big plan. The plan was to change the country's rules. This is bad for Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni. Many people watched this vote. They wanted to see if her government was strong. The vote makes her government look weaker.

The plan was about judges and prosecutors. It wanted new ways to manage them. Some people said this would be fair. But others were worried. They thought it could give politicians too much power. Some voters also found the ideas hard to understand.

About 54% of voters said "no." Prime Minister Meloni wanted "yes." Only 46% said "yes." Many people voted. This shows they care. Meloni said she respects the voters. She thinks Italy lost a chance to change.
