On Friday, President Nikos Christodoulides changed his government. He chose four new ministers and moved two other leaders to new jobs. This is his second big change and the first in almost two years. The new ministers will start on Monday, 8 December 2025.
The changes are in important areas like energy, justice, and health. The President thanked the ministers who are leaving.
One change happened because of a problem last summer. The old Justice Minister, Marios Hartsiotis, said no one died in a big wildfire. But two people did die, and people were very angry. Now he has a different job as an advisor.
The new team has some new people. Michael Damianos is the new Energy Minister. Marinos Mousiouttas is the new Labour Minister. Konstantinos Fytiris is the new Justice Minister and Neophytos Charalambides is the new Health Minister.
The President kept his Agriculture Minister, even though people criticized her during the fires. This shows he wants both change and stability.
The new ministers must now work on important problems like energy, the economy, and health.
