Man Goes To Prison For Drugs

A man will go to prison for twelve years. A court in Larnaca decided this. He is 35 years old. He admitted to many crimes. These included bringing drugs into the country. He also gave drugs to others. He pretended to be another person.

Police caught him. He worked as a drug courier. This happened in Cyprus. The problem started on May 19. Police found a package. It had thirty bags of cannabis. This was a lot of drugs. The police watched the package. The man came from the United States.

Police arrested him on May 25. He was picking up the package. The man told the court everything. He said he was hired to help with drugs. He came to Cyprus to get cannabis. Then he would give it to people. He was to get money for this. He had money problems.

The court was serious about drugs. They do not allow drug smuggling. The drugs were taken away. This stops drugs from reaching people. The long prison sentence is a warning. It tells others not to do crimes. The court sent a clear message. Cyprus will not allow drug gangs.
